We believe that slow fashion should last a lifetime, which is why we try our best to craft pieces that are not only beautiful, but will stand the test of time. In an effort to combat the throw away culture of fast fashion- If after 30 days you have an issue with your bag or accessory we will either repair the item, or of that is impossible we can exchange it for an item of the same or similar value. Please email us at heddleandhide@gmail.com to submit a repair request. While we stand behind our craftsmanship we will not replace a bag with regular wear and tear. Examples of these situations: we do not replace if your bag gets dirty, you spill something on it, or your dog chews a hole in your bag (ask us how we know this happens)… please read more about caring for your bag below
FAQ: Leather Care and Bag Care
With regular use, veg-tan leather will break in and become softer, developing a rich patina that adds character and uniqueness to your bag.
We treat our leather to make it semi-waterproof, but it’s not advisable to let it sit in water for extended periods as it may damage the leather.
We recommend wiping the leather down with a damp towel for regular cleaning. If the leather seems dry, try wiping it with neatsfoot oil to restore moisture and shine.
For the fabric portion of your bag, spot clean with soapy water for regular maintenance. For tougher stains, spot cleaning with Oxyclean has been found to be very effective.
To keep the fabric on your bag looking like new for longer, you can apply Scotchguard every few months as an extra layer of protection against stains and spills.
